CURSILLOS IN CHRISTIANITY
An instrument for renewal in the Belleville Diocese, the Cursillo Movement is a movement whose lay and religious members commit themselves to the strategy of the Movement and the Christian transformation of their environments.
The Movement which the Cursillo attempts to develop is not something which subsists merely by the initiative of those who lead it; rather it is a movement which is born, grows and advances to the degree that those persons in the movement allow themselves to be moved by the power of a life of grace. As a method, the Cursillo Movement demands only sufficient authority and a minimum of organization to achieve its purpose. Information regarding weekends, Ultreya or other functions can be found in the Dioceasan newspaper, The Messenger.
The Bellevile Diocesan Cursillo in Christianity holds a yearly men's and yearly women's Currsillo three-day weekend for new candidates to accept the invitation from the Lord Jesus to "Feed My Lambs, Feed My Sheep." It provides methods in which members can form themselves through prayer and through contact with other committed Christians into effective leadership roles so they are able to evangelize within the environments of which they have become a part
.Meetings: Ultreyas are held the second Friday and the fourth Monday of every month in the Cathedral Rectory at 7:30 P.M
