Extraordinary Ministers aid the priests and deacons in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ at Sunday, holyday and daily Masses.

MINISTERS OF HOSPITALITY
These are parishioners who welcome and greet people at the church. They would stand at the entrances of the church. This ministry is open to all people in the parish (families, single adults, single parents, widows, widowers, divorced ).

USHERS
This ministry includes taking up of the Sunday collection, distributing bulletins and taking care of the needs within the Liturgy ( especially emergency needs ). This ministry is open to all women and men of the parish.
Meetings: No regular meetings are held, but special ones may be called occasionally.

GIFT BEARERS FOR SUNDAY LITURGY
This is for parishioners who bring forward the gifts at the celebration of the Liturgy. It is possible to sign up for whichever Mass you choose.

CHALICE AWARENESS
The opportunity for families, single parent families, extended families, singles, sisters, priests, widowed, couples ( anyone who wants to be a part of this ministry ) to take a chalice and paten home for one week and pray for vocations using the prayers that are given to you.

CATHEDRAL WOMEN'S CHOIR
The purpose of the Ladies Choir is to enhance the beauty of the Sunday Masses through song. All women (including high school students) are invited to attend. The ladies sing at the 10:30 A.M. Mass on Sunday.
Meetings: Rehearsals for held every Wednesday from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Cathedral balcony.

CATHEDRAL MEN'S CHOIR
The purpose of the Men's Choir is to enhance the parish liturgical celebrations and add to the enjoyment and total religious experience for the parish family. The men's choir normally sings for the 8:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday as well as other liturgical celebrations.
Meetings: Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 P.M. in the Cathedral balcony. During June, July and August we rehearse every other week. All men of the parish are welcome - the only requirement is a desire to sing. We don't work too hard and have a lot of fun. We have an annual picnic, soupfest and choir banquet.

CATHEDRAL CANTORS
Any men, women or high school students are willing to praise God in song and lead our congregation in singing.

SERVERS
Young men and women ( fifth grade through high school ) who are willing to serve at weekday, Sunday and holyday Masses as well as other liturgical celebrations.
Meetings: Training sessions are scheduled for all servers.

ADULT SERVERS
Any women and men as well as parent/child teams who are willing to serve at weekend Masses, funerals and other liturgical services.
Meetings: No meetings are held but if they desire a training session that will be provided.

LITURGY OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN
Liturgy of the Word for children is to provide children in Grades K, 1,2 and 3 an opportunity to gather and discuss the Sunday Scripture readings at the same time the adults listen to the Scripture readings. It takes place during the 5:00 P.M. Saturday evening Mass and during the 10:30m A.M. Sunday Mass. The children are dismissed after the Penitential Rite and return during the petitions. A number of adults help with this ministry. Any child in Grades K,1,2 and 3 ( whether from Cathedral or another parish ) who is present at the 5:00 P.M. Saturday or 10:30 A.M. Sunday Mass is welcome to join us.
Meetings: There is one meeting to train those who volunteer to help with the ministry. Any new volunteers will be trained as they join the ministry.
The volunteers follow a schedule so they know when they are expected to help.

LITURGY COMMITTEE
The purpose of the Liturgy Committee is to organize the various ministries involved in liturgical celebrations. This committee also assists the priests in preparing special liturgies as well as art and environment settings.
Meetings: Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month. There is no meeting in July.
